Some Press Coverage
He is a ‘Graf’ from ancient nobility, but everyone calls
him Bärli : Christoph von Toggenburg, 26, has the Swiss and
Austrian nationality and regards himself as a ‘world-citizen’
and ‘world-improver’.

Blick/Switzerland, 31.10.01
He made
it. The knight with his bike did survive all dangers but most of
all himself.
He has experienced what it means to go to the limits and not give
up. He knows how life feels when death is just a breath away.
Krone Bunt/Austria, 14.7.02
This Swiss
does not stop to cycle for leprosy-sufferers.
La Liberté, Switzerland, 3.4.2002
He lives and follows a simple philosophy: An
individual can change the world if he really wants and if he doesn’t
fear. .../...
Doesn’t this seem to be a bit special
to help others. Isn’t it a bit extreme to cycle across seven
countries, all alone, through deserts and mountains, with temperatures
between minus 20 and plus 30 degrees Celsius? Certainly. But it
is Christoph von Toggenburg’s way to show that someone cares
for the downtrodden.
The Times of India/India, 8.1.2002
YOU
CAN do a lot of things to help people. But does it not seem that
riding a bicycle all alone across seven countries, striding deserts
and mountain in temperatures between 40 Deg C and -20 Deg C a lot
of effort? You bet it is. That, however, is the way Christoph Von
Toggenburg likes to do it.
